Now, humor has an utility that is even better: to strenght a good physical health

By Angie Rodriguez. Published at NotiGama Magazine

Humor might have the effect of any pill on you, plus a lot of advantages. First, it's a non-invasive threatment, and it doesn't have secondary effects. Also, humor offers the benefits of a combination of lots of medicines. ¿Do you know a drug that heals itself your breathing, bile, spleen, circulation, muscles and insomnia?

The humor and the individual

Medically, many benefits of laughing have been detected in the body. Laughing produces a diapragmatic movement that moves the double of the habitual air to the lungs. A similar vibe is produced in the liver, so, the digestion is improved.

The circulation also gets better because the heart gets stronger and the arterian muscles relaxes, so, the hypertension is reduced.

Also, laughing exercises the facial muscles and helps healing insomnia because this exercise makes people feel a little tired. It also activates the endorphines production, making people really happy.

Humor and society

Humorist Laureano Marquez says humor doesn't only have benefits for the individuals: it also benefits the society. Marquez comments: "As it happens in the body, the humor acts in the 'social body': laughing exercises justice, which is the society's diaphragm; improves circulation of ideas and tolerance for the different points of view. Finally, humor improves the society's defenses against violence"

Add laugh to your life

Laureano Marquez gave us four single tips to get more laughs daily. Follow them and check personally the results of more laughing.

1. Get the individual laugh with humoristic publications, books or tv shows.
2. Laughing in group has more benefits than individual one. Meet a group of friends, family or job partners, and tell life experiences. Go to laughing-therapy groups or go to stand up comedy shows.
3. If none of those alternatives worked, remember your funny moments and laugh of them again.
4. The last choice if the bad mood is really big: "get a smiley of those that the 'imperialist fast food restaurants' usually give, look at yourself in the mirror and put this artificial laugh in front of your sadness. When the visual sign gets to your brain, you'll cheat on it. The brain will think you're happy and will produce the chemical sustances associated to laugh. It works. Believe me!"

About the value of the things

This photographic short film is based on a short extract of La vida es sueño, written by Pedro Calderón de la Barca. The world audience manifests to feel identificated with them, even in the middle west world, with a opposite culture compared to The Simpsons original country.

¿Why do The Simpsons characters generate that level of identification in their worldwide audience? Matt Groening, the creator of the sitcom, confessed that the main characters had the names of his nuclear family. People around The Simpsons creative process think there's a little bit more than the names.

The Simpsons characters, as an example of successful ones, are perfect to analyze. This will help to understand the factors that make this characters successful and try to apply them in order to create characters that look real for the audience that follow them.

According to Antonio Sanchez Escalonilla, the fictional characters are composed of two elements: temperament (the psichologic area) and character (the sociologic area) The character is directly dependant of the temperament.

Studying the characteristics of The Simpsons main characters and trying to identify them to a kind of temperament, we can create parameters for the creation of best fictional characters.

This season: a story about hardworking

A man who works selling giftcards in the buses is robbed in one of them.
